After consulting with cartographers and also with controller of next year’s EYOC, we decided to remove all rootstock from the map during the upcoming events organized by KOS BnO Szczecin in the Puszcza Bukowa:
– Bukowa Cup X;
– Polish Championships in long and relay (13th-14th May 2023);
– Baltic Junior Cup and Baltic Junior Cup Tour (October 27th-29th October 2023);
– Bukowa Cup XI (1st-5 th May 2024);
– EYOC 2024 (21st-24th June 2024)
There are places in the Puszcza Bukowa where it is difficult to objectively mark all the fallen trees which unfortunately, may affect the readability of the map.
Symbol 419.0 (Prominent vegetation feature) is a special character and is not a mandatory element used in mapping.
It aims to create the best possible conditions for competitors preparing for the European Youth Orienteering Championships in 2024.
